The Sumba Man

These simple stone carvings originate from the Indonesian island of Sumba and are hand-carved from sandstone by local artisans. In the traditional villages of Sumba, statues like this are placed in and around the entrance of the hut, offering protection and healing to the residents within.

They make a beautiful statement on their own or are beautiful in a group to really make an impression.
